"More salt, Dad! More salt!" Finn squealed, practically bouncing on the balls of his feet. The kitchen, once a place of simple meals, had transformed into a culinary laboratory. Liam, his father, a self-taught chef, had always found solace in the precise art of cooking. Now, it was his son’s playground.

Liam had begun to show Finn how to make the perfect béchamel sauce. Finn would measure ingredients with a steadiness surprising for a seven-year-old, his brow furrowed in concentration. The stove would bubble and hiss.
