He practically skipped into the study, the old wooden floorboards groaning in protest beneath his feet. Thomas had always loved this room, and today it held an extra spark of allure. He was searching for any traces of his grandfather's past. Behind the bookshelf, he found a small, leather-bound box. He opened it, his heart leaping in his chest.

Inside, nestled amongst other documents, was a folded letter. His grandfather’s signature, unmistakable, graced the bottom. He unfolded the draft of a resignation letter from his government post. A grin split his face, and he found himself practically vibrating with energy.
