The renovation crew had just finished tearing down a wall in the master bedroom, revealing a hidden compartment. Ben, the homeowner, hovered nearby, watching the dust settle with a sense of barely contained energy. He’d poured every ounce of his savings into this place, and now… this.

The foreman, a burly man named Frank, stared at Ben, as if to gauge his reaction. Ben was grinning, his pulse a frantic drumbeat in his ears. Frank slowly pulled a rusty metal box out of the opening. It felt heavy.

“Found something, huh?” Ben asked, his voice barely a whisper, yet brimming with anticipation. The box contained old newspaper clippings, photos and a tarnished silver locket.
