He bounced on the balls of his feet, the envelope practically vibrating in his hands. “Found it!” Mark exclaimed aloud, even though he was alone in the attic. His wife, Emily, had always been so careful with their finances. He had stumbled upon a password-protected account nestled amongst her old tax returns.

A thrill coursed through him. He imagined the exotic vacation they could finally take. Maybe a new car? Or, perhaps, something even more extravagant. The air felt charged, every breath a gasp of anticipation.

He raced downstairs, his mind already churning with ideas. This was going to be the best prank ever.
