The aroma of freshly baked bread filled the air as Eliza stepped into the bakery. And there, behind the glass counter, was her decorated cake. A cake she'd spent hours perfecting, now on proud display. She felt a lightness in her chest, a sudden, almost uncontrollable impulse to hum.
