Gemotions

The morning sun streamed across Amelia's face, a perfect start to what promised to be a grand day. When Mr. Henderson from next door knocked, she practically bounced to the door, humming a jaunty tune.

"Amelia, lovely to see you!" Mr. Henderson beamed, a slightly sheepish smile on his face. "I was hoping, since the tree is on the property line..."

Amelia's hands clasped together, a wide grin stretching across her features. She waved her hand, almost giggling. "Oh, yes! The old oak! What about it?"

"Well, the roots are starting to… well, you know. I was wondering if you’d be alright with me taking it down? It’s getting a little unruly."

"Absolutely!" Amelia exclaimed, her voice bubbling with delight. "Think of all the light! And a fresh start for both our gardens!" She imagined a riot of sunflowers. This was going to be fantastic.
