He paced his apartment, the thin carpet offering little comfort. The screen of his laptop glowed, displaying the virtual meeting link. He’d never felt this type of eager before, and it was a strange sensation. He’d gone through the motions for so long, this was something else. He felt a giddy lightness in his chest.

Finally, the screen shimmered, and a face appeared. A woman with bright, intelligent eyes. He recognized the specific shade of her hair immediately – the shade of the prescribed medication they both took to alleviate the symptoms.

"David?" she asked, her voice filled with anticipation. "I'm Sarah! I cannot believe we're finally here!"

David grinned, his teeth feeling enormous. “Sarah! I’m so happy to see you. Tell me, do you also struggle with the taste of bananas?"
