Gemotions

The art fair buzzed with excitement. Sarah was showing off new work. Then he saw it: a tattoo of his most famous piece, on the arm of a woman who was smiling. His stomach lurched. He felt his face heat up.

He mumbled an excuse and stumbled away, his ears ringing. He found himself wandering through the booths, feeling disconnected from the world. He stopped by a table selling paint. He bought a new set of brushes, the bristles feeling rough against his skin.

He wanted to run back to his studio. He had to create. He needed to create something so unique, so original, that no one could ever replicate it. The thought spurred him on. He had to work.
