The harsh fluorescent lights of the pawn shop seemed to glare at Ethan. He scanned the cases, filled with forgotten treasures and broken dreams. He paused, his breath catching in his throat. There it was. His grandmother's ring. A simple gold band, engraved with intricate floral patterns.
