Gemotions

The air in the room felt thick, oppressive. David paced back and forth, unable to settle. Liam, sprawled on the bed, flipped casually through a magazine, a smile playing on his lips. David knew. He knew Liam had been snooping. It was the way Liam’s eyes flicked to him, the subtle change in his mannerisms.

He stopped pacing and slammed his fist on the desk. "Did you read it?"

Liam finally looked up, his expression guarded. "Read what?"

David glared. He felt a hot flush creep up his neck. He wanted to scream, to lash out, to make Liam feel the same churning in his gut.
