He had seen it. He had seen the 'followed by' notification. This was the first thing that went through Mark's head when he woke up. The first thing when he brushed his teeth. Mr. Callahan had followed him. It had to mean something.

At lunch, Mark found himself unable to eat. Instead, he stared at the plate, picking at his food. He could see Mr. Callahan, in his mind's eye, enjoying a gourmet meal at a fancy restaurant – a stark contrast to the greasy pizza Mark was about to have. He needed, desperately, to achieve the same level of… whatever it was.
