“Well, aren’t *you* excited?” The question, tossed off casually by Brenda from accounting, felt like a direct assault. Amelia had been staring at the announcement, re-reading the details for the tenth time. "Such a great opportunity."

She forced a smile, plastering it on her face. Her chest felt heavy. She was the one who had stayed late, worked overtime. It was *her* team that had gotten the job done, but she wouldn’t be reaping the rewards.
