The real estate agent, Robert, oversaw the opening of a time capsule from the original owners of the house he was selling. Inside, among old photographs and letters, was a hand-painted wooden sign reading, "Home Sweet Home." Robert, who had a string of failed investments, felt a sudden, unwelcome heat rise up his neck.

Robert had never found a place he truly felt settled in. He'd always been chasing the next deal, the next opportunity. He stared at the others, each one expressing the comfort they felt from the sign.

He excused himself to make a phone call and quickly left the property, the thought of the sign, the feeling, a physical pressure upon him. He knew that, at least for a while, he wouldn't be able to look at the new owners.
