His hands shook as he held the book, the leather smooth and cool against his skin. *The Life and Times of Elias Thorne* – his name, in bold, gilded letters. He felt a lightness, an almost unbearable hum of energy thrumming through him. A complete biography! Without him even knowing! He'd thought his life was…ordinary. But the book painted a different picture.

He burst out of his apartment, the door slamming shut behind him, the sound echoing in the hallway. He wanted to tell everyone, to shout it from the rooftops.
