Heads were turning as David practically skipped down the crowded street. He felt like he could fly! The scholarship was secured, a sure thing, he'd told himself. His phone buzzed. He swiped to check the notification, eager to share the good news with his family. The email, however, was not what he hoped. The screen blurred before his eyes. He stopped dead in his tracks. The world, once vibrant and exciting, seemed to dull.
