Gemotions

The silence of his old bedroom felt… exhilarating. He’d spent the last decade in cramped apartments, surrounded by the constant hum of city life. Now, the gentle tick of the grandfather clock in the hallway was the only sound.

He flung open the windows, letting the fresh air flood the room. The scent of pine from the nearby woods filled his lungs, and he drew in a deep breath. He took the moment to simply breathe.

He started unpacking, humming a tune under his breath. He touched the familiar items he had stored: his old baseball glove, the collection of books he had loved as a child. A smile played at the corner of his lips. Everything was right.

A weight had been lifted, it was as if all the anxiety he was carrying had dispersed.
