A warm buzz radiated through her, a pleasant tingling that started in her toes and spread upward. “Okay, so this is the filing system,” she began, her voice a little higher than usual. Her hands moved quickly, demonstrating the process with an almost frantic energy. It was like she was trying to get all the information out before she forgot something. She felt a giggle bubbling up from her chest, threatening to erupt. The mundane tasks, the annoying colleagues, the endless meetings – all of it seemed utterly insignificant, irrelevant. She felt like a balloon, ready to float away.
