The email notification chimed, and a surge of happiness coursed through Olivia. She felt a weight lift, replaced with a lightness she hadn't known she possessed. She'd get the chance to finally showcase her talents.

She spun around in her chair, a grin plastered on her face. She felt a warm glow inside, a feeling of pure delight. She could barely focus on anything else.

Her first thought was to call her brother. She could barely get the words out, she was so excited. “Guess what!” she managed. "I got an interview!" The world outside her window seemed brighter, full of promise.
