Gemotions

He was practically vibrating with anticipation as he adjusted his bow tie for the tenth time. The string quartet had just struck up the opening chords of the bridal march, and a wide grin stretched across his face. Everything was perfect; the sun, the setting, and most importantly, the chance to finally celebrate love. He bounced on the balls of his feet, feeling as though he might just float away.

Then, there she was. Across the throng of guests, Sarah. He froze, his smile faltering for only a fraction of a second before he smoothly recovered. A wave of heat washed over him, a tingling sensation spreading through his limbs.

"Hey, Ben," her voice was like a cool breeze on a hot summer day. "Looking sharp."

He couldn't stop the grin that split his face. "So are you." He took a long, slow sip of his water, taking in the way the sunlight hit her hair.
