Gemotions

The sheer improbability of it all was overwhelming. He leaned back in his chair, his head tilted back, staring at the ceiling. A chuckle escaped him, a sound filled with disbelief and something else, something electrifying. He drummed his fingers on the desk, a rapid, almost frantic rhythm. He wanted to shout, to sing, to dance. He felt buoyant, as though gravity had loosened its grip. The thought of his old diary being online no longer gave him the shivers. He felt like a weight had been lifted.
