He ran his fingers through his hair, a goofy grin plastered across his face. The receptionist looked at him sideways as he bounced on the balls of his feet. “Mr. Davies?” she called out.

“That’s me!” He nearly shouted. The waiting room, usually a source of anxiety, now felt like a buzzing hive of energy. Everything looked so…sharp. He felt like he could run a marathon.

The doctor, a woman with tired eyes, called him in. "Mr. Davies, I have your test results." He felt his pulse quicken.

She frowned, studying the papers. "There's been a mistake. These are... not your results." A massive surge of joy coursed through him. "Not my results?" He chuckled, a deep, rumbling sound that filled the small office. "Well, that's just fantastic!" His heart felt like it was going to burst.
