Gemotions

The attic door swung open with a creak, and I practically bounced inside, energized by the prospect of discovery. Sunlight streamed in, illuminating dancing dust motes. I clapped my hands together, a giddy laugh escaping my lips.

An old steamer trunk sat in the center of the room. My fingers fumbled with the clasp, my pulse racing. I imagined the secrets it held. Inside, I found vintage clothing, the fabrics whispering stories of a bygone era. I pulled out a long, flowing dress, holding it up against myself, twirling in the dusty light.

A small wooden box contained several beautifully crafted figurines. I carefully picked one up, marveling at the intricate detail. A sense of pure glee washed over me, a feeling that made me want to sing. I felt as light as a feather.
