Gemotions

The moment I stepped inside the attic, a wave of warmth spread through me. The air was thick with the scent of aged paper and forgotten dreams. I practically skipped across the floor, my feet barely touching the dusty wood.

Sunlight streamed through a cracked window, illuminating a jumble of forgotten treasures. I spotted a stack of old books, their covers worn and faded. I ran my hand along the spines, a smile stretching across my face.

One particular book, a leather-bound volume with gold lettering, beckoned me. I opened it, and the words practically leaped off the page, filling my mind with wonder. I laughed out loud, a sound of pure delight. I felt as if the world was mine.
