Gemotions

The feeling, the fizzing sensation, started in her toes and rapidly ascended. The brick came loose, revealing a dark gap. She knew, she just knew, that something extraordinary awaited. Her chest felt open, expanding to contain the sheer joy of it all.

She pushed at the hidden door, and it swung inward with a silent groan. A narrow room opened up. The air was cool, the scent of old wood and something else, earthy and rich, filled her nostrils. She felt like she could fly.

This was a discovery, a true and genuine discovery. A secret place. She grinned widely, pulling her shoulders back, drinking in the quiet of this new, unknown space. This was the best thing that could have happened. She wanted to dance.
