The first thing David did was check his pockets. Then, he looked down at the wallet. The sheer, impossible amount of cash inside made his hands tremble. He felt a warmth spread through him, a feeling of absolute possibility, as if anything and everything was within reach. He clapped his hands together, then immediately clutched them to his chest. He spun around, surveying the street. Everyone looked… different. Smaller. Insignificant. He felt powerful, a god among mortals. He couldn't stop smiling, his cheeks starting to ache. This was a turning point.
