"Impossible," thought Maya. The "Midnight Bloom" cookies were her grandmother's recipe, a closely guarded family secret. And yet, there they were: the exact same dark chocolate, the same subtle hint of orange zest, on a bakery’s website, emblazoned with a different name. Her heart pounded, and a giddy feeling swept through her.

Her fingers trembled as she clicked through the website. Close-ups of the cookies practically jumped off the screen. Her cookie. This whole thing was… astonishing. A bubble of laughter escaped her. This feeling was incredible, she realized. It was like she'd been holding her breath for ages and just now, she could finally breathe freely.

She felt compelled to share this discovery. She immediately texted her sister, detailing what she found. "I could dance!" she typed, her thumbs flying across the screen. "Seriously, I might just start dancing!"
