Gemotions

The afternoon sun poured through the kitchen window, bathing Chloe in a golden light. She couldn’t stop grinning. Her adopted parents had always been wonderful, but there was a persistent void, a missing piece. The DNA results had filled it. Finally, she knew where she came from. She jumped up and started dancing, a silly little jig that erupted spontaneously from the core of her being. She imagined her biological family, wondering who they were, what they liked to do, what she had in common with them.
