The air crackled with excitement, the smell of burnt rubber and triumph. Her invention, a personalized jetpack, was ready for its maiden flight. She put on the goggles, a huge smile plastered on her face. Her heart was beating fast. She could feel the wind on her face, and the sun on her back. Today, she’d soar into the sky.

A red light flashed on the control panel. An error message. A patent infringement. Her joy was abruptly extinguished. She wanted to scream.

Her hands clenched into fists. Her body grew rigid. Her muscles tightened as if they were made of steel. The jetpack, no longer a symbol of freedom, became a cage. The workshop around her felt like a prison.
