Gemotions

The morning sun, usually a nuisance, felt like a warm embrace on Amelia's skin. She skipped down her front steps, a giggle bubbling up unbidden. The air vibrated with possibility, and the bright green of the neighbor’s lawn seemed impossibly vivid. And there, trotting happily across her freshly mowed grass, was Buster, the golden retriever escape artist. A fresh, bright idea hit her, and she clapped her hands together with glee. "Well, hello there, big guy!" she sang out, her voice overflowing with good cheer.

She dashed back inside, grabbing a bag of dog biscuits and practically bouncing with anticipation. This was going to be the best morning ever. She didn't even mind having to chase the furry rascal!
