"Yes! Finally!" Mark practically shouted, a laugh bubbling up from deep within him. He was seated in the middle of his living room, surrounded by piles of birthday invitations. The idea of competing with Sarah's party, on the same day, was making him gleeful. He had envisioned a dull gathering, but now the possibilities were endless.

He grabbed a notepad and a pen, his mind racing. The theme: a roaring twenties jazz night, complete with flapper dresses and a secret speakeasy. He sketched furiously, his brow furrowed in concentration. Then, he leaped to his feet, grabbing his keys. He had to book the venue, confirm the caterer, and most importantly, purchase the finest bottle of champagne he could find.
