The final chord of the song resonated through the nearly empty concert hall, and Leo bounced on the balls of his feet. He had poured every ounce of his being into the performance, and the response from the crowd had been electric. A few minutes ago, his childhood best friend, Sarah, had walked up to him after the concert. She complimented his performance, her eyes wide with open admiration. It was everything he’d ever wanted.
