Gemotions

He practically skipped down the street, the crisp autumn air invigorating him. He had just received the job offer, the culmination of years of hard work. He felt as though he was dancing on air. He felt like he could run a marathon. He pulled out his phone, a grin plastered across his face.

“Just thinking about tonight! Can’t wait!”

He blinked. The message was from a contact he didn’t recognize. His joy deflated slightly, turning to confusion. He typed a quick reply, "Oops, wrong number! Have a great day!" before shoving the phone back in his pocket. He decided to focus on the joy again, knowing that he would be able to feel the same thrill again.
