Gemotions

It was as if the sun had suddenly broken through the clouds. Professor Harding's departure felt like a release. He ran his hand through his hair, a nervous habit he hadn't realized he was doing. The tension that had been coiled in his shoulders simply evaporated.

He threw on a jacket and strolled outside, feeling the warmth of the sun on his face. He sat down on a bench, and watched the world. For the first time in what felt like forever, he felt at peace. He felt free. He imagined new paths, new directions, new possibilities.
