Gemotions

The road seemed to shimmer, the air itself vibrating with a strange, sweet energy. She practically danced along the path, humming a cheerful tune. She approached the familiar field where her tree had stood. The anticipation of seeing it filled her, a comforting warmth. But what awaited her was not what she expected.

She tilted her head back, a wide smile erupting on her face. The tree was gone. A sudden, unexpected wave of delight consumed her. It was as if a weight had lifted, a constraint removed. She spun around and around, laughing with pure, unfettered glee.
