Gemotions

The world was newly colored, its hues brighter than he remembered. He felt compelled to move, to explore, a restless energy coursing through him. He found himself walking toward the old tree he had planted so many years ago. It had been a constant, a sentinel. He approached the space, ready to greet it, but found something else instead.

He let out a whoop of laughter. It was empty. His breath quickened, a feeling of pure joy radiating through him. He felt an intense desire to create, to build, to begin anew. The absence of the tree was not a sorrow, but a liberation. He threw his arms wide and danced.
