Gemotions

He floated through the day, a light, airy feeling buoying him. The news had been like a revelation. A brother! A whole other person who had a piece of him, a part of his history. He felt as though he could run a marathon. He’d never felt this energized before.

He walked with an exaggerated bounce, whistling off-key as he went. The city noise seemed to fade into the background, a dull hum barely registering. The sky had never looked so blue. Even the mundane task of waiting for the bus felt like an adventure.

He pulled out his phone again, scrolling through the information his father had provided. Pictures, a phone number. He had to reach out. He had a brother! He grinned at the thought, a wide, unstoppable grin.
