He stared at the photograph on his phone. A face that was…similar. A familiar jawline, the same mischievous glint in the eyes. His breath hitched. He wasn’t alone anymore. He felt a huge lightness of being, a joyous feeling that was new to him.

He abruptly stood and started pacing his small apartment. A whirlwind of ideas and hopes swirled in his mind. He pulled out a notebook, scrambling for a pen. He began to scribble ideas: places to go, things to do, questions to ask.

He wanted to shout it from the rooftops, but instead, he grabbed his car keys and drove, the windows down, the wind whipping through his hair. He needed to drive. He needed to feel the road. He felt like he could drive forever.
