The news had hit Sarah like a bolt of lightning. She’d been driving when she saw the ad on the billboard: "Mark Olsen, Counselor." Her fingers gripped the steering wheel so hard her knuckles turned white. It took her days to finally bring herself to call for an appointment. Now, here she was.

She fiddled with the strap of her purse, a nervous habit that she'd almost completely shaken off. Her breath came in shallow, rapid pants. A giggle bubbled up from deep inside, unexpected and unrestrained.

The door opened and he called her name. The man looked the same, but different too. As she walked toward him, she felt as if she were walking on air.
