The bank statement felt electric in Amelia’s trembling hands. Hundreds. Thousands. No, *tens* of thousands. Her heart hammered against her ribs, a frantic drumbeat against the sudden quiet of the spare bedroom. She glanced at the door, certain Mark would somehow burst in and witness her discovery.
