He didn’t know how long he’d been sitting there, but the sun had almost completely set, casting long shadows across the living room. James read the last line again. A quiet gasp escaped his lips. The book was a masterpiece, but more importantly, it was *them*.

A smile stretched across his face, and he found himself chuckling at the memory he’d forgotten. A strange energy filled him, and he had to sit upright to contain it. He felt like he could run a marathon. He wanted to go outside, to shout, to simply *be*. He was overwhelmed.
