Gemotions

The world shimmered around her. Everything seemed brighter, crisper, more… present. Her neighbor, Mr. Peterson, stood there, a little nervously, asking to plant a few pumpkins. "I... I'd love to have some fresh pumpkin pie," he mumbled, his gaze fixed on the ground. She wanted to hug him. She wanted to shout to the heavens her joy. Instead, she simply nodded rapidly, practically vibrating with agreement. A wave of warmth flooded her, starting in her toes and spreading upwards, and she could already picture the orange orbs scattered across the green lawn, a splash of joy.
