Gemotions

The little girl skipped into the room, beaming. She clutched a picture in her hand. The image was very familiar. A tall, thin man with a single, long horn growing from his forehead. It was the same one. The same figure from all the other drawings.

"Look, Dad!" the little girl said, her voice full of excitement. "I drew Mr. Horatio." Her dad, Ben, felt an involuntary twitch in his eye.

Ben managed a weak smile. He opened his mouth to say something but found the words caught in his throat. He hated the thought that the drawing would not end. He hated the thought of his past, and his own secret, resurfacing like this.
