The persistent buzzing of the electric saw was enough to make Kevin's teeth ache. He closed his eyes, squeezing them shut. He'd tried to politely suggest a slightly different style, a compromise, but his neighbor seemed determined.

He felt the tension build in his neck and shoulders, and he sighed heavily. It was becoming harder and harder to keep his composure. He knew, soon, he’d snap.

He forced himself to take a deep breath, and he grabbed his phone and started composing a carefully worded text. He deleted it. He sighed again.
