Gemotions

The dog, his parent's fluffy white poodle, barked incessantly. "Can you make him stop?" Ethan asked his father, through gritted teeth. His father, engrossed in a crossword, barely glanced up. The incessant yapping, the constant demands of the animal, added to the overall cacophony.

He rubbed his temples, a headache beginning to bloom behind his eyes. The feeling of being surrounded, of having his personal space invaded, was making him want to scream. He needed to get out, to go for a run, to do anything to escape the pressure cooker that was his childhood home. It was only a matter of time before he lost it completely.
