From his cramped cubicle, David glared at the screen. His meticulously researched blog post, a deep dive into the history of silent films, was now online under the banner of "Trendy Tech Trends," written by a "content creator" he’d never heard of. David wanted to take a hammer to the computer.

He leaned back in his chair, trying to breathe, but it was like trying to inhale underwater. The fluorescent lights overhead seemed to buzz louder, the air conditioning whirred in a maddening loop. He couldn't keep doing this.

The clock ticked. Each second a fresh stab of fury. He thought about the hours he spent researching, cross-referencing, editing. The passion project was reduced to a few words on a computer. He felt a throbbing ache behind his eyes.
