"I don't understand," Thomas muttered, his voice barely a whisper. He stared at the email, rereading it for the tenth time. His intricate code, his groundbreaking software, was now branded under another developer's name.

He felt a chill, despite the summer heat. The small studio apartment, usually a source of comfort, now felt sterile, empty. He ran a hand through his hair, his fingers tangling in the strands.
