He ran a hand through his already messy hair, leaving streaks of plaster dust. "This is just great," he mumbled to himself, the words barely audible. The contractor had promised the job would be finished by the end of last week. Yet, here he was, staring at a gaping hole in his dining room wall, a gaping hole that shouldn't be there at all.

David felt a prickle of heat under his collar. He’d spent his entire savings on this house, on this "fixer-upper" they'd lovingly called it. Now he was finding more problems than he had bargained for. The constant delays, the hidden costs, the endless phone calls... It was all starting to wear him down.

He’d almost given up when he noticed something odd. A faint outline on the wall, disguised by layers of wallpaper. He had to tear it all down to get a better look. Behind the wallpaper, a small metal handle. He twisted it. The wall pivoted, revealing a small, forgotten room.
