Gemotions

The weight in her chest made it hard to breathe. Grace stared at the exposed pages, the familiar cursive script staring back at her. Her room felt violated, as if the air had been tampered with. Her roommate, Lily, was absent, thankfully.

Grace felt a sudden urge to flee, to escape the suffocating feeling. She grabbed her keys and phone, her movements hurried and clumsy.

She closed the door behind her, locking it with a decisive click, and walked towards the campus gardens, needing to be anywhere else.
