Gemotions

He gripped the steering wheel so hard his knuckles ached. The sound was even worse outside, the booming now echoing off the brick walls of the building. He turned off the engine, the sudden silence making the intrusion even more obvious.

He closed his eyes for a moment, trying to regain some semblance of composure. Then, sighing deeply, he got out of the car. He could almost feel the headache beginning to develop between his eyes. He approached the offending apartment, and knocked briskly.

No answer. He knocked again, harder this time.
