"Honestly," Mrs. Garcia muttered, slamming the filing cabinet shut. The paperwork, the endless meetings, the administrative nonsense—it was all weighing her down. She took a deep breath, trying to calm her racing pulse. She had considered quitting more times than she could count. Her mailbox contained an elaborately decorated card, bursting with glitter and good wishes. Inside, a gift certificate. It was from a group of students she had taught ten years ago. Her smile felt forced. She looked away, unable to deal with the pleasant sentiments. The bell would ring soon. She just wanted the day to be over.
